If The Government Is Making Real Spending Cuts,Why Are We Increasing The Debt Limit By 2.4 Billion?

We have been told that the debt limit bill will reduce spending by 2.1 trillion over the next ten years.Even President Obama told us that passing this bill will not mean more new spending, but just enabling us to pay our bills. So if we're not spending more, then why do we need to increase the debt limit?More important, if we keep going over the debt limit, then why do we have a limit in the first place? Some say because we need it for emergency situations. The Democrat led Congress during 2009 and 2010 authorized many new spending bills because of emergencies. One such emergency was the 2010 Census. For as long as we have been taking the Census,we have known that it comes every 10 years,So why didn't they appropriate that money in the budget. The answer is obvious--they spend too much.

Once again, the Republicans have succumbed to the Democrats because they are afraid of the media. They should know by now that no matter what they do that the media will spin and lie to the American people.Get over it.We now have the Internet and Fox News to get our message out. How do you think the Republicans won in landslide victory in the 2010 elections?

The real story is that we are going to add 10 trillion to the debt in ten years. You ask, I thought we passed this bill to reduce the debt. This is the result of Government accounting,of which Enron has nothing on the way the Government does its math. But we've been told that we will cut the debt by 2.1 trillion. The truth is they operate off a baseline which is automatically raised almost 8% every year which would result in adding 10 trillion to our debt in 10 years. So they tell us that we will cut our debt a little over 2 trillion, but in reality, we are adding over 7 trillion.

Any of you who have run a business, have you ever had to cut back on expenses to pay the bills?I would imagine anyone who has run a small business has had to do this at least once in the lifetime of that business. Those of us who have, don't have the luxury of budgeting 10% more in spending and then cutting it 5% and say we are spending 5% less than we did last year.

To be fair, some the Congressmen are saying we will reduce the budget by 2.1 trillion over 10 years, while others say we are cutting spending by that much. They cannot tell the truth because they know that the people who care about this will voice their disapproval, and they may lose their jobs next election. The ones who are saying we are reducing the spending by that amount are technically telling the truth, while the ones who are using the term cut are definitely lying or they don't know what they are talking about, which is a high probability.

Obama spoke today after the measure was passed in the Senate. He stated that we need to raise taxes for a shared sacrifice. He also threw out the desire for the us to advance another stimulus to create more jobs. The Government can't create jobs by spending our money, only by relaxing regulations, taxes, and fees.

People need to call their Congressman and Senators and tell them that this country can't keep going down this path.We have to elect more people like the freshmen Congressman and senators that were elected in 2010. If this President is reelected in 2012,then we will fall as a once great country. He must be defeated so he and his minions can't do any further harm to this country.
